Concord College Lower School students have achieved outstanding results at GCSE level this summer and have succeeded in improving once again on last year’s excellent results with 81% of GCSE results this summer being awarded A* or A grades.  |

Concord College is delighted to announce another outstanding set of A Level results this year. Around 93% of all grades awarded to candidates from Concord were A*, A or B and nearly 200 A*s were awarded to this talented group of students.  |

Laura Returns

After three years as a student at Concord’s summer school, Laura Ebeling has returned as a member of staff. The 19 year old is assisting head of sport and recreation, Mark Lemon, during the August course, which has record 285 students aged eight to 18 from 36 different nationalities. |

Dreams of being Head Boy!

Retirement Cheers!

Concord has said ‘goodbye’ to five members of staff whose combined length of service totals nearly 120 years. It is the biggest collective number to retire from the college at any one time in its 60 year history. |

The Mayor of Shrewsbury, Mrs Kathleen Owen, attended the Outreach barbecue as a special guest and to present the students with the V50 or VImpact certificates in recognition of completing 50 or 100 hours of volunteering. |

Distinctions in ESB

More than 40 students from Concord’s Lower School have gained a distinction in their first English Speaking Board (ESB) external examinations. As a result of the success in the Lower School, the college is to roll the exam forward to its Sixth Form in the next academic year. |
